About the Council
The World Savings Clubs Council is the first global governing body for the savings club industry. We unify consórcios, stokvels, Bausparkassen, chit funds, ROSCAs, and every community finance tradition under one collaborative body. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the WSCC sets global standards, protects consumers, and advocates for regulatory recognition across 190+ countries.
The Imperative
Savings clubs operate under hundreds of names across 190+ countries with no unified representation in global finance. The WSCC provides a single, authoritative voice.
Without global standards, participants face inconsistent protections. The WSCC establishes baseline safeguards that respect local traditions while ensuring accountability.
As digital transformation accelerates, regulators are taking notice. The WSCC ensures the industry is represented by those who understand it, not regulated by those who don't.
